well I finally did it...
I cancelled my EQ account. I first started playing EQ back on April 14th, 1999. Wow. Nearly 6 years of playing.Since I'd pre-paid for 3 months, my account will still be good til the end of that term, which is up on April 13th. Almost exactly 6 years to the day from my first signup.
Farewell, EQ. I loved the time I spent in Norrath, but after logging in last Sunday, I realized I no longer wanted to play there. The graphics were dull and colorless, and there just wasn't anything I wanted to do so badly that I wanted to continue paying the monthly fee for.
I'll play WoW til I get tired of it, but I don't see that happening for a long time yet.
/salute EQ.../bye EQ
